Stop Itchy Legs After You Shave!

Smooth, sexy legs are essential, but shaving everyday sometimes comes with nasty bumps and annoying itching. Itchiness after shaving can be the result of two things: Overly dry or irritated skin and/or ingrown hairs (sharp-pointed hairs that dig back into the skin instead of growing out). Ingrown hairs create uncomfortable bumps that leave unattractive red spots on your legs (and other places). If you get the itchies after shaving, I've got a few pointers that may soothe the problem.

What You Will Need:

  • Aloe Vera Gel
  • A sharp razor with multiple blades
  • Fragrance-free lotion

1.Moisturize your skin with aloe vera gel during the entire shaving process to reduce itching. Aloe is proven  to be effective for most skin types. Use aloe vera in the shower before you shave, and after you've finished as well.

2.Spend the extra money for good multiple blade razors to ensure a clean, trouble-free shave. Cheap razors with dull blades will irritate hair follicles, causing ingrown hairs, razor bumps and rashes. Yikes!

3.Soak your skin in warm to hot water before you shave. Hot water allow your hair follicles to open up, making it easier for the razor blade to cut the hair. By softening the hair with water before you shave, you will reduce the tugging effect that can cause itching later.

4.Use a fragrance-free lotion or balm that will relieve and soothe your skin. Look for products that contain aloe vera or vitamin E for the best results.

5.Rinse thoroughly with cold water to close your follicles and reduce the chances of razor bumps or ingrown hairs.

6.Pat your skin dry after shaving. Rubbing your skin back and forth with a towel may irritate your skin. Remember that your skin is sensitive and vulnerable after you shave, so treat it gently.

My Picks:

Burt's Bee Body Lotion Fragrance-Free

Fruit Of The Earth Aloe Vera Gel

Gillette Razors For Women

 Hope This Helps.
