Make Time For Beauty

As an esthetician, I work with many stay-at-home moms, and the one thing they all have in common is, the fact, that they don't have enough time to take care of their skin. Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs in the world, and when you have to prepare breakfast, iron clothes, drop your little ones off at school, pay bills and run the house, you have very little time for yourself. After a few months or years of being on-the-go, you look in the mirror and see the effects of neglected skin. Well, moms, we can't have that, right?

Here are a few easy steps you can use to sneak in a little face-time.

Shower At Night

One of the best ways to make sure you are ready to go in the morning is to shower at night. Wait until after the kids go to bed and jump in the shower. This is where I want you to sneak in your face wash, exfoliation and masque time. Everything can be done in 15 minutes.

Ready. Set. Go.

Put your cleanser on as soon as you hop in the shower.
A couple of times a week, exfoliate. Remember. You don't have to scrub everyday. Two to three times a week is plenty (sometimes less).
Throw on your favorite, but much needed, masque for 10 minutes and finish your shower.
When your shower is coming to an end, wash off your masque.

Keep Your Anti-Aging Arsenal Locked and Loaded.

Before your head hits the pillow, muster up your last bit of energy to apply your serum, night cream and eye cream. Keeping them on your nightstand is a great way to remember.

Rise-N-Shine

I haven't met many moms who don't brush their teeth. Keep your sunscreen/moisturizer right next to your toothbrush.

After a few weeks, these simple steps should have you on a beauty routine that is easy, painless and doable. And remember, don't beat yourself up if you skip a day or three. It happens to the best of us.

Hope this helps.
