Protect Your Eyes

Eye wrinkles are common in both men and women. The skin around the eyes is the thinnest skin on the body, hence, why we notice wrinkling in this delicate and sensitive area first. There is no surefire way to guarantee you will never get crow's feet, but there are steps you can take to help prevent eye wrinkles.

Now you know why celebs wear those huge sunglasses. They aren't just doing it to make a fashion statement. Wearing sunglasses protect the delicate skin around your eyes from the sun, but it'll also help prevent squinting, which also contributes to wrinkling. But that's not all.

Did you know that eye damage from UV exposure is cumulative, and long term exposure is a leading cause of premature presbyopia, cataracts and mascular degenration? UV radiation from the sun can damage not only the skin of your eyelid but also the cornea, lens and other parts of the eye.

What you need to know before purchasing a pair of stylish, UV protection shades:

Manufacturers must include how much UVA and UVB is blocked. If it is not stated, they may not be UV protection sunglasses. Dark lenses control brightness, but not UV. Sunglasses should cover your face from the brow to the upper cheek, and should warp around to provide protection from UV rays coming in from your periphery.

So, if you're going to pay for a nice pair of sunglasses, remember, health over beauty. Stay safe and stay fabulous.

Hope this helps.

  1. Sunglasses are also important to people that have had lasik surgery. Protecting the inner working of the eye that are damaged by the sun are another great reason for shades.
