What Is Sugaring?

Allergic to traditional waxing? Hate being plucked like a chicken. I've got news for you. Try SUGARING. First of all, it's an all-natural, almost ouch-less alternative. This ancient middle-eastern practice uses a honey-like mixture of lemon juice, glycerin and sugar to remove hairs. First, it's spread onto the area that needs to be waxed. Then, a strip of denim is used to remove the hair. Denim? Yes, denim. The thicker fabric, gentler mixture, and the fact that sugaring doesn't stick to the skin as much as wax makes for less tugging and less irritation. And the results can last up to six weeks.

Sugaring is generally more expensive than traditional waxing because it's not as commonly found. At home kits cost anywhere from $10 - $40. Check out Shobha Sugaring Kit

There are sugaring recipes online, but I do not recommend trying them. A reputable spa with an experience, licensed esthetician would be my suggestion.
