7 Romantic Movies I Can Watch Again & Again

Love Jones 1997

I have watched this movie a million times and have not gotten tired of it once. As a matter of fact, after all these years, I still smile when Darius reads his poem to Nina on the first night they meet. I want a man to read me a poem.

Something New 2006

Sanaa Lathan and Simon Baker give very believable and heartfelt performances of two people from different races and backgrounds falling in love. Plus, it's just so damn sexy.
Officer and A Gentleman 1982

Richard Gere as Zach Mayo is um-um-good. Charming and rebellious. That's my type of man. The chemistry between him and Debra Winger sets my television on fire. And who doesn't find it hot when Gere suddenly appears at the lunch bag factory and sweeps Winger up in his arms, and takes her away from all the drama in her life. Exhale. One day.

 Ghost 1990

Two words: Pottery scene. Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore make passionate love after making pottery together while The Righteous Brothers' Unchained Melody plays in the background. Swoon.

About Last Night 1986

Boy-meets-girl. They fall in and out of love. They make love. It's a classic story about dating and love and the complications that come with it. This movie plays like every relationship I had in my 20s. It never gets old because this is what men and women really do. Break-up to make-up.

Love and Basketball 2000

Love & Basketball is definitely one of my all-time favorites. Their commitment to the sport forces them to choose between each other and the game, between family and between Love and Basketball. This movie is about discovering your dreams, taking chances and following your heart.

Top Gun 1986

An action-packed drama, this movie made me like jet fights and Tom Cruise. Berlin's Take My Breath Away is on my iPod right now because the sex-scene in this movie was pretty much burned into my pre-pubescent mind. Naughty and so very PG-13.

So, what are your favorite romantic movies?
