Lashes. Lashes. Lashes

Have you ever coveted a child's eyelashes? hildren seem to have the longest, prettiest lashes.  They're so lush and thick. I'm assuming at one point, we all had those longer, beautiful lashes, but by the time we reach adulthood, some of us are seriously lacking in the lash department. So, let's talk about lashes.

Have you ever wondered what your eyelashes were for? Well, they're not just for batting at the hot guy at the coffee shop. Eyelashes are for one thing, protection. They keep foreign objects out of the eye. And, like the hair on your head, they can fall out.

A single lash can hang on for about three months before it falls out, and it may take two months or longer to completely grow back. We have the same number of lashes are entire lives. But, over time, we can damage our lashes and lose them.

What You Need To Know:

Watch out for mascara, ladies. Long-wearing mascaras can be tough to remove and result in aggressive lash handling. Sleeping in mascara (the stiffness can break them), and the drying effect of  water-proof mascara can be a problem as well. In fact, continual damage to your lash follicle can lead to more fragile, short, thin or even permanently damaged lashes that quit growing.

Stress and a unhealthy diet are culprits, too. Eyelid inflammation (blepharitis), chemotherapy and thyroid problems can also lead to lashes falling out.

What can you do if your lashes have taken some abuse?

Fake Lashes. Oooh La La

They are all the rage in Holloywood. Why? Because they make your eyes POP! They
make you look mysterious and alluring. And, guess what, they're so easy to apply.

STEPS:

1. Be brave and purchase individual lashes. They look more natural.

2. Apply a dot of glue on the base of the lash. Let it dry for about a minute
before you stick it on. This makes the glue tacky and give you a little
    more control.

3. Starting from the  outside corner and working your way in, glue the leshes to the
base of your lashes, NOT YOUR SKIN. Cover about the outer quarter of your lash line.

4. Apply two coats of your favorite mascara! VoilĂ ! You're all set!

My Picks:

        Ardell Duralash Naturals Individual Lashes

        Duo Adhesive (Dries quicker.)
